What we collect, and what we do with it.
The short version
This website collects only what you type into it. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with anyone except the services that make the site and booking work, listed below.
Information you give us
- Contact form — name, phone number, email address, what you’re interested in, and your message. It is delivered to Christi Esteves so she can reply to you.
- Porch list — first name and email address, used only to tell you about events at Selah. You can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any email or calling 936-967-8658.
- Booking — appointments are booked through each practitioner’s own scheduling service (see below). The information you enter there is governed by that service’s privacy policy and by the practitioner you book with. Selah does not store card details.
Information collected automatically
- Browser storage — the site remembers, in your browser only, whether you dismissed the announcement bar. This is not sent anywhere.
- Server logs — our hosting provider records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. These are retained for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
- We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
Services that handle data on our behalf
- GlossGenius — online booking, deposits, memberships and payment processing for Christi Esteves. GlossGenius privacy policy.
- Other practitioners’ booking systems — Elizabeth P. and Samuel Q. run separate businesses with their own scheduling tools. The tool in use is named on the booking screen.
- Form delivery — contact and porch-list submissions may be relayed by Formspree, or sent as an email from your own mail app. Formspree privacy policy.
- Google Maps — the map on the Visit section is embedded from Google and loads only when you scroll to it. Google privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google’s font service, which sees your IP address when it serves the files.
Reviews
Reviews shown on this site are quoted from public Google reviews, using first name and last initial only. If you wrote one and would like it removed from this site, tell us and we will take it down.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it: call 936-967-8658 or use the contact form.
- Texas residents may also have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. We honour deletion and correction requests from anyone, regardless of where you live.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Services for minors are booked and consented to by a parent or guardian in person.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
